29 Ogos 2013 - Persekutuan Hoki Antarabangsa (FIH) mengumumkan bahawa Malaysia akan menganjurkan Kejohanan Hoki Cabaran Juara-Juara 1 (Hockey Champions Challenge I) 2014
Kejohanan ini adalah acara hoki antarabangsa yang berlangsung setiap dua tahun sekali. Ianya adalah sebahagian dari siri Juara-Juara, Cabaran Juara-Juara I adalah laluan utama kelayakan Juara-Juara (Champions Trophy) dimana pasukan elit dunia bersaing. Diperkenalkan pada 2001, Juara Cabaran Juara-Juara I pada 2014 akan layak ke Trofi Juara-Juara 2016.
